What is the difference between those functions?
Dummy door knobs are one-sided “fake knobs.”
They’re usually installed on the surface of a door or behind it.
Some come in pairs so you can use them on double doors.
These types of door knobs don’t have any working parts.
They’re good for a shallow closet or small pantry and the interior of French doors.
Passage door knobs are similar to dummy door knobs.
They don’t lock but are used to open doors and go between rooms.
Passage door knobs are ideal for interior hallways, closets and other rooms that don’t need privacy locks.
They’re also called unkeyed knobs.
Keyed entry door knobs have a lock and key mechanism on both sides for safety and security.
They’re used on front doors, patio doors, garage doors that go into your home or other exterior doors.
Some have a button on the inside that you press to lock the door.
The button unlocks when you turn the interior knob.
Other keyed entry door knobs have a twist mechanism on one side that you turn to lock or unlock the door.
Privacy door knobs have a twist or button lock that works from only one side.
Some privacy door knobs with button locks have a pin hole on the outside knob and a generic key that opens the lock.
These types of door knobs are typically used in bathrooms, bedrooms and other rooms that call for privacy but don’t need keyed locks.
How to install the door knob/lever?

Are all product accessories included in the package?
Yes.
Is the door knob/lever reversible for left or right handing doors?
Yes. (The only exception SKU: DL851A)
Are the plates rounded or square?
The plates are square and unremovable. (The only exception SKU: DL44061)
For keyed entry function, how many keys does each lock come with?
Each lock comes with 3 keys.
Can the knob/lever be installed on a door with a round hole door prep?
Yes.
Can the knob/lever be used on hollow metal doors?
Yes.
Can the knob/lever work with a 2 3/8 backset?
Yes. The bracket is adjustable for 60mm(2-3/8") or 70mm (2-3/4").
Does the knob/lever come with a drive in latch?
Yes.
Is the package a set? Inside & outside handle?
Yes, except the dummy function. Dummy function knob/lever is a single side handle.
How to open the privacy lock from outside in an emergency?
Please use thumb or a coin to press the hole on outside knob and turn the locking mechanism.
Is knob/lever auto locked when the door is closed?
No. You have to lock it manually.
Can I get the same key of knob/lever as I purchased before?
For security consideration, keys will not always be the same in different orders. If you need the same key as before, please contact us.
Is the knob/lever for exterior use? Are they weather resistant?
Yes. However if they are constantly subjected to wet weather, the metal would be more likely to rust.
Can I use one key to open all the locks?
Yes please choose the Keyed Entry - Keyed Alike function.
Can I use the passage funtion on a bedroom door?
Yes, it works if you don't need a lock.
